Established under its former name of Whizz Kids over 18 years ago, The Young Actors Company provides children and young people from 5 to 18 years old with as wide a range of acting skills and performance opportunities as possible.
The Young Actors Company has a simple policy to help ensure members are both dedicated and talented:
Every member must audition to join.
(Since only around 5% are successful first time round, and around 400 people audition per year – the standard of commitment and ability is excellent)
The Young Actors Company also has a simple view on how to maximise all this talent:
Only those with professional skills training and actual acting experience are employed to coach students
(Some coaches are actually ex students – 10 years down the line!)
